OVERVIEW
Topeak Sport II sets the benchmark for floor pump durability and performance. Now with an easy-to-read, chronographic inspired guard with PSI and Bar Index. Twinhead dual-sided design has Presta valve internals on one side and Schrader valve internals on the other for trouble-free tire inflation up to 160 PSI. Ergonomic padded handle, extra long hose with 360° pivot and large base enhance comfort, ease and stability while pumping.
AUGUSTINE REVIEW
Topeak’s Joe Blow Sport II quickly inflates tires thanks to its durable steel barrel and base, a tight-sealing aluminum thumblock head that fits Presta and Schrader valves as well as an oversized, padded handle. Plus, the easy-to-read gauge lets you dial in the perfect pressure every time! Well built. Metal base and wide handle. Gauge seems accurate enough. Although 160 psi rated, you start getting very little output left after 120 psi and I doubt my wife could pump it much past 120 psi. You can continue to increase the pressure beyond 120 psi but it is in small increments. Overall a good quality floor pump.
BUYER REVIEW
“This pump would be much better if the hose was more flexible, it’s hose is so stiff and plastic that it can tilt the pump head cause it to leak at the valve. Also, the hose will snap over time (previous experience with product) but it’s easily replaced with fuel line from the auto parts store that is more pliable and reinforced. I bought this pump after using a friend’s Serfas floor pump. That pump is 100% more efficient than this one meaning more of the air you pump actually goes in the tire. This one takes about as long as my Blackburn hand pump but I don’t have to juggle the tire and pump to inflate my tires now. So if you don’t mind the extra pumping this pump is cheaper than a Serfas, so there you go.”

“I was amazed at how fast it pumped up my 100 PSI tire. The gauge is easy to read. The only problem I had was the lock mechanism was hard to lock, I lost all the remaining air before getting it to lock. Love this thing, just got it and put it right to work. No more pump, take it off to check pressure, put it back on and pump some more. Hook this up and it shows present tire pressure and keeps track of how much you are putting in. Plan on getting a lot of use out of this over the next few years.”

3. AerGun X-1000 Bike Pump
PRODUCT DETAILS
AerTight Pump Head
Easy-to-Read, Accurate Pressure Gauge
Long Hose
Wide, Solid Base and Handle
Pumps Up To 160 PSI
Ball & Bladder Needles Included
OVERVIEW
You can pump up pool toys, basketballs, soccer balls, Fitness and Health Balls, and more. In fact, the X-1000 can even be used to add pressure to hydraulic steering systems found on larger power boats. Most importantly, though, the superior, AerTight pump head used on both pumps won’t leave you needing more air! It won’t ‘bleed’ air from tires when removed from the valve – even when removed from those temperamental Presta Valves.
AUGUSTINE REVIEW
An airtight pump head keeps air from leaking out when you remove the valve from your bike tires. Ball and bladder needles are included, allowing you to pump up soccer balls, exercise balls, and more. A pressure release valve rapidly removes air from tires so that you can quickly get your bike ready for riding on a variety of surfaces, including road and trail. This high power and high pressure bike floor pump easily fills tires up to 160 PSI. It also comes with an adjustable indicator, long flexible hose, and durable steel barrel.
BUYER REVIEW
“When I first received this item, I was skeptical. The first few times I used it, I thought I would be sending it back, but then I got the hang of how it connects. Once I got use to using this pump, it worked flawlessly. I do like the large handle, however when pumping up smaller tires, room may become an issue, however I managed to pump up my 2 yr old’s balance bike with minimal bend to the tube. The only cons that I can find are listed below, however I do not think it is worth loosing a star over as the pump functions on both Presta and Schrader without any attachments.
1) Handle is big, which is nice, but harder to get on to stems where there isn’t much room (small tires, etc.)
2) The PSI meter looks like one you would normally see on a $15 pump. Fully functional, but the Joe Blow 3 looks way better.“

“This pump is the mother of all pumps. In order to get my flat road bike tire to 110 psi, it would have easily taken me over 10 minutes to do it on a conventional pump. This bad boy? It literally takes about 15 pumps or so and I’m in business. Easy smooth motion and great stability makes pumping up my road bike tire a breeze. Love the orange color too. Seems so durable and sturdy. Come with an auto adapter for both valves, so you don’t have to change anything!”

OVERVIEW
The velowürks prime is a fusion of Bauhaus styling and classic cycling references, wrapped into a shop quality floor pump that is built for the long run. Rated to 250Psi, the prime features an extra large, easy to read gauge, ergonomic handle and a tall chamber that pushes more volume without straining your back. An all metal dual head provides compatibility with both Schrader and presta valves and the extra long, high pressure hose makes it easy to reach valve stems on bikes that are in work stands, bike racks or other hard to reach applications.
AUGUSTINE REVIEW
The Velowürks Prime Floor Pump with Gauge combines clever design choices with robust construction to make a pump that will look good and perform for years to come. High quality steel and alloy materials take inspiration from familiar bike componentry, including a quill stem clamp, bottom bracket closure cap, head badge logo, and quick release valve lock. It’s not all show and no go however, as the tall anodized air chamber lets it push more volume, and the oversize alloy plunger with industrial-grade gasket lends strength to pump all the way up 250 PSI. A functional reference to Bauhaus design is found in the extra stable plated-steel base that cradles an oversize easy-to-read pressure gauge with a rotating bezel index.
BUYER REVIEW
“very nice quality track-floor pump. I’m constantly inflating tires for my road and utility bike tires and actually enjoy using this tool. The fit, finish and quality of the components is impressive. The valve clamps onto presta valves tightly, and stays on while inflating. the gauge has been perfectly accurate. There is a micro adjust valve to allow minimal decreases in pressure, which is a very useful feature. it allows me to inflate the tire without slowing the process as you approach desired pressure, making the process faster to an exact pressure. It has seated new road tubeless and older road tubeless beads without issue (or need for a compressor). For me, this is awesome! It puts the overall package over the top. The pump telescopes and plunges smoothly, without a hint of “play” and feels like quality. removing the head from the presta valve is quick and sure. Air never escapes when you loosen the lever-clamp prior to pulling it off the valve.”

SUMMARY
[one-half-first]
[/one-half-first]
[one-half]
The bicycle pump compresses air. When the cylinder is compressed, air is pushed down the tube of the pump and then into the tire via the valve, which is forced open by the pressure of the air. When the handle is pulled up again, the valve shuts off automatically so that the air cannot escape from the tire, and new air is forced back into the cylinder so the process can be repeated. Some pumps have a gauge that shows the pressure of air that is forced into the tire. Once the tire is at the correct pressure, the pump valve can be removed from the tire, and the cap can be replaced on the tire valve.
There are two main types of tire valves to which the bicycle tire pump attaches. These are the Presta valve and the Schrader valve. Some pumps fit both types of valves, whereas others do not, but adapters are available that enable the pump to fit any type of valve. “All valves adjustable connecting systems,” also known as AVACS, enable the pump to fit any type of valve found on a bicycle, and it also has the capacity to fit onto other universal inflatable products, such as balls, paddling pools, and rubber rings. The AVACS feature is commonly available on pump models and can also be bought as a separate valve attachment.
